The documentary film \u201cLife in Eclipse\u201d<\/strong>, produced in 2009<\/strong>, is a research-based work by the Wildlife Pictures Institute<\/strong>, directed by Fathollah Amiri<\/strong>. It explores the lives of four species of insectivorous bats in Iran<\/strong>: Greater Mouse-tailed Bat, Lesser Mouse-tailed Bat, Three-toothed Leaf-nosed Bat,<\/strong> and Long-winged Bat<\/strong>. All these species inhabit the Bat Cave of Dehloran<\/strong> in southwestern Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This documentary showcases unique behaviors from the mysterious world of bats, including the dance of the Long-winged Bat, mating and polygamy, and the use of ultrasonic waves for communication<\/strong>. The film also introduces other cave-dwelling creatures, such as large-bodied spiders<\/strong> and a 50-centimeter spider<\/strong>, known as the largest recorded spider in the world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This work is the result of three years of research and challenging cinematography<\/strong> under harsh and inaccessible conditions, revealing glimpses of some of Iran\u2019s most hidden ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
