The documentary film \u201cRanger and Leopard\u201d<\/strong>, co-directed by Fathollah Amiri and Nima Asgari<\/strong>, won the trophy and first prize in the \u201cHuman and Nature\u201d category<\/strong> at the prestigious Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival<\/strong> in the United States \u2014 marking its first international appearance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

This 52-minute documentary<\/strong>, produced by the IRIB Jame Jam Channel<\/strong>, was selected from among more than 600 submitted films<\/strong> and received the top award in the Human and Nature<\/strong> category.<\/p>\n\n

The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival<\/strong> is one of the most prestigious international events<\/strong> dedicated to nature and wildlife documentaries. It is held biennially in the state of Wyoming, USA<\/strong>, near Grand Teton National Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

This edition of the festival, held from September 24 to 29 (Mehr 2\u20137)<\/strong>, featured outstanding productions from major networks such as Planet Earth II<\/strong>, ZDF<\/strong>, France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions<\/strong>, Discovery<\/strong>, BBC Worldwide<\/strong>, National Geographic<\/strong>, Terra Mater<\/strong>, NatGeo Wild<\/strong>, WWF-UK<\/strong>, and Netflix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

This was the first time a film from Iran<\/strong> had been selected for this prestigious global festival \u2014 and it succeeded in winning the top award in its very first participation.<\/p>\n\n

The documentary \u201cRanger and Leopard\u201d<\/strong> tells the story of Mohammadreza Helvani<\/strong>, a dedicated ranger in the Abbasabad Nain Wildlife Refuge<\/strong> in Isfahan Province, whose relentless efforts led to the first-ever photographic evidence of a Persian leopard in the region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The film was also screened on October 3, 2017<\/strong> at the University of Texas at Dallas<\/strong>, in the McDermott Library Auditorium<\/strong>, where it received an enthusiastic response from Iranian students.<\/p>\n\n
