The documentary film “Tanhavash”, directed by Fathollah Amiri and focusing on the Asiatic cheetah in Kavir National Park, was screened on Saturday, November 5 (Aban 15) in the city of Dallas, Texas.
The documentary “Tanhavash” is a production of the Wildlife Pictures Institute, created for IRIB Semnan Center and commissioned by the Provincial TV Network Center. The film previously won the Best Foreign Documentary Award at the New York Wildlife Conservation Film Festival.
The screening was organized by the Iranian Students Association at the University of Texas at Dallas and attended by Majid Mohammaddoost, the film’s editor and Director of International Affairs at the Wildlife Pictures Institute. The event received an enthusiastic welcome from Iranian students and alumni.
“Tanhavash” was also screened in the competition sections of the VAASA Wildlife Festival in Finland and the Matsalu Nature Film Festival in Estonia (September–October 2016), and received the Certificate of Merit and Honorary Diploma for Best Mid-Length Documentary at the Cinema House Awards.
