European TV Networks Embrace the Documentary “Alamto, a Reptile Wonderland”

In 2016, European television networks including Ushuaïa TV (France), RTS (Switzerland), and RTVE (Spain) acquired and broadcast the documentary “Alamto, a Reptile Wonderland”, directed by Fathollah Amiri.

The international distribution of this documentary was carried out by the IRIB Media Trade (the International Trade Department of Iran Broadcasting) in collaboration with the International Affairs Division of the Wildlife Pictures Institute.

This documentary, which focuses on the reptiles of Ilam Province, has received numerous awards, including the Crystal Simorgh and the Award for Best Feature Documentary of Iran at the Cinema Verite Festival, as well as a commendation from the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). It was also recognized as the best-selling documentary of IRIB in 2016.

Additionally, several Asian television networks have expressed interest in acquiring the broadcasting rights for this film, with negotiations and pricing currently under review.
